Doug Lollar is Principal, Lollar Engineering LLC. He has 30 years of experience in all aspects of transportation project planning, design, delivery, and construction management. His work and engineering assignments range from$115 Million design-build and alternative delivery to numerous smaller roadway widening, bridge replacement, intersection, surface treatment, and safety improvement projects. Doug’s background, both as a Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) engineer and as a consultant, includes design project management and construction administration. He is a Colorado licensed Professional Engineer and an AACE certified Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP).
Doug’s project management skills include: design and construction project planning; PS&E package (plans, specifications and estimates) engineering and review; project scheduling, review and analysis; overseeing inspection, materials testing, and documentation; contract administration; interpreting plans and specifications; resolving field issues and disputes; preparing and approving change orders; construction claims analysis and resolution; and traffic control plan review.
Experienced in guiding multi-discipline, blended, and multi-agency teams, Doug successfully led the design and construction for several $50+ Million projects. He has skillfully managed and administered more than 150 transportation projects and contracts, many with complex budgets and challenging schedules.
Doug values and actively encourages teamwork, safety, and open communication. He knows how to effectively coordinate with all stakeholders — owners and agencies, contractors, businesses, property owners, developers, utilities and the general public — to successfully complete high quality projects on-time and within budget.
